Breast Cancer Screening Evidence-Based Programs Listing

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women after skin cancer. Breast cancer screening means using a screening test such as a mammogram to check a woman's breasts for cancer before any signs or symptoms of the disease. Mammograms can detect breast cancer early, possibly before it has spread, and when it is easier to treat. The focus of this EBCCP program area is on interventions promoting guideline-concordant mammography for early detection of breast cancer.
