Prostate Cancer Screening Evidence-Based Programs Listing

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among men in the United States. Prostate cancer usually grows very slowly and finding and treating it before symptoms occur may not improve men's health or expected longevity. Before deciding whether to be screened, men should have an opportunity to discuss the potential benefits and harms of screening with their clinician and to incorporate their values and preferences in the decision. This EBCCP program area includes programs promoting shared informed decision making to inform screening options.

Use the search bar or filters to find programs on prostate cancer screening. For more information, visit the Prostate Cancer Screening Recommendations page.
