Follow-up to Abnormal Screening Results Evidence-Based Programs Listing

To achieve the population benefit of cancer screening, it is important that all persons with abnormal screening results receive appropriate follow-up evaluation and additional testing, and that all persons diagnosed with cancer receive effective treatment. EBCCP programs in this area focus on healthcare providers and support staff and/or patients, with individual-, interpersonal-, or system-level interventions to increase access to and timeliness of diagnostic resolution.
